Life made Entrepreneur.

My Entrepreneurship story

Entrepreneurship has been in my life since I could remember, my grandfather, my father, most of my uncles are entrepreneurs. I can say that I was born among entrepreneurs and that I don’t see myself not being part of it. Throughout my life it felt like I attracted entrepreneurship to my life, my best friend is an entrepreneur, my sister who I live with is also an entrepreneur and even when I tried to do something that did not involve entrepreneurship skills it didn’t seem to stick. The desire to be my own boss really became stronger after I graduated High School, I took a job over the summer right before I moved to Gainesville, in that job I made a good amount of money, but I knew that I definitely didn’t want to work for someone for the rest of my life. I believe that there is a simple equation in the working world; you either work for someone to make them wealth and accomplish their goals or you do that for yourself and eventually get people to work for your goals.

Since I moved to Gainesville after high school, my friend and I went in numerous “entrepreneurs adventures”, for example, traveling for 8 hours with no money just to watch a successful entrepreneur and go back home straight to school (I will post a picture of that day), we opened a few of small businesses, some more successful than others but all gave us experience and practice. I don’t think I could pin point one single event that made me realize I am an entrepreneur, I think that the way my life was set up I had no other option but to embrace entrepreneurship, and every day I am extremely thankful for that.

  1. Hello Valtenius,

I thought this was a great post and I feel like you do have a great passion for entrepreneurship. I am absolutely looking forward to hearing what you have to say in your posts this semester. Like yourself, I also hope to be my own boss one day yet I think we can both agree for that to happen, a lot of hard work and dedication will be needed.

  2. Valtenius,

It is really cool to see your passion for entrepreneurship. I think in those situations, when you are born into a way of life or are pressured into a certain lifestyle, there is often resentment to that, but you seem to really have a love for it and that is awesome. I hope you find what you are looking for in this class and keep that fire.
